ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the resistance to interprofessional collaboration in the professional practices of residents in primary health care. Method: Social and clinical qualitative research with 32 residents of a Multiprofessional Residency, carried out from 2017 to 2018. Data production included Institutional Analysis of Professional Practices, document analysis; investigator's diary; and observation. Data were analyzed based on Institutional Analysis concepts. Results: There were contradictions between the reproduction of uniprofessional education with a focus on the specialty and interprofessional collaborative practices. The resistance analysis pointed to two axes: not-knowing as an analyzer of resistance to collaboration; interprofessional interference and knowledge-power relations. Residents' practices were characterized as resistant to interprofessional collaboration. Conclusion: The resistance analysis in the Multiprofessional Residency showed integrative movements of assimilation and disputes with physician-centered power, with damage to the sharing of care and interprofessional communication. The collective analysis questioned health professionals education, revisiting the perspective of comprehensive care guided by the users' needs.


RESUMEN Objetivo: Hacer un análisis por medio de las resistencias a la colaboración interprofesional en las prácticas profesionales de residentes médicos en la atención primaria a la salud. Método: Investigación cualitativa socio clínica con 32 residentes de una Residencia Multiprofesional, realizada entre 2017 y 2018. La producción de datos incluyó Análisis Institucional de las Prácticas Profesionales, análisis documental; apuntes diarios del investigador; y observación. Los datos fueron analizados a partir de conceptos del Análisis Institucional. Resultados: Se revelaron contradicciones entre la reproducción de la educación uniprofesional con énfasis en la especialidad y prácticas colaborativas interprofesionales. El análisis de la resistencia destacó dos ejes: el no saber cómo método de análisis de resistencias a la colaboración; interferencias interprofesionales y relaciones de saber y de poder. Las prácticas de los residentes fueron caracterizadas por la resistencia a la colaboración interprofesional. Conclusión: El análisis de resistencia en la Residencia Multiprofesional evidenció movimientos integrativos de asimilación y disputas con el poder médico centrado, con daños a la división del cuidado y a la comunicación interprofesional. El análisis colectivo cuestionó la formación de profesionales de salud, revisitando la perspectiva del cuidado integral orientado por las necesidades de los pacientes.


RESUMO Objetivo: fazer uma análise pelas resistências à colaboração interprofissional nas práticas profissionais de residentes na atenção primária à saúde. Método: Pesquisa qualitativa Sócio-clínica com 32 residentes de uma Residência Multiprofissional, realizada de 2017 a 2018. A produção de dados incluiu Análise Institucional das Práticas Profissionais, análise documental; diário do pesquisador; e observação. Os dados foram analisados a partir de conceitos da Análise Institucional. Resultados: Revelaram-se contradições entre a reprodução da educação uniprofissional com foco na especialidade e práticas colaborativas interprofissionais. A análise resistencial apontou dois eixos: não-saber como analisador de resistências à colaboração; interferências interprofissionais e relações de saber-poder. As práticas dos residentes foram caracterizadas pela resistência à colaboração interprofissional. Conclusão: A análise resistencial na Residência Multiprofissional evidenciou movimentos integrativos de assimilação e disputas com o poder médico-centrado, com prejuízos ao compartilhamento do cuidado e à comunicação interprofissional. A análise coletiva questionou a formação de profissionais de saúde, revisitando a perspectiva do cuidado integral orientado pelas necessidades dos usuários.

Introdução:A Estratégia Saúde da Família busca promover saúde de maneira integralizada, acessível e equânime dentro da Atenção Primária em Saúde. O agente comunitário de saúde é uma categoria profissional essencial para a execução da Estratégia Saúde da Família. Por esse motivo, é necessário a busca pela qualificação desta força de trabalho.Objetivo: Relatar as atividades educativas desenvolvidas durante a pandemia de Covid-19 com Agentes Comunitários de Saúde em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde em um município do estado de Minas Gerais. Metodologia:Trata-se de um relato de experiência oriundo de uma capacitação multiprofissional elaborada pelos Residentes Multiprofissionais em Saúde da Família realizada no período de Abril a Agosto de 2020. As atividades eram realizadas a partir de oficinas mediante a discussão de temas relacionados ao cotidiano vivenciado pelos agentes comunitários de saúde na comunidade. As oficinas eramapresentadas utilizando recursos manuais, audiovisuais e atividades mobilizadoras de participação, estimulando a interação desses profissionais e estreitando o vínculo entre os agentes comunitários de saúde e a equipe de saúde da família. Resultados e Discussão: Após a realização dessas atividades, notou-se os principais desafios enfrentados por essa categoria e sua relação com a equipe de saúde da família daunidade básica de saúde. Além disso, a atividade permitiu um espaço de reflexão sobre os impactos dessa interação entre equipe eos agentes comunitários de saúdena comunidade. Conclusões:Portanto, conclui-se que esses encontros foram oportunos para enfatizar o seu protagonismo nessa lógica do processo de trabalho, destacando a busca pela qualificação desses profissionais, garantindo a integralidade do cuidado aos usuários (AU).


Introduction:TheFamily Health Strategy seeks to promote health in a comprehensive, accessible and equitable manner within Primary Health Care. The community health agent is an essential professional category for the implementation of the Family Health Strategy. For this reason, it is necessary to seek the qualification of this workforce.Objective:To report the educational activities developed during the Covid-19 pandemic with Community Health Agents in a Basic Health Unit in a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais.Methodology:This is an experience report arising from a multiprofessional training developed by Multiprofessional Residents in Family Health held from April to August 2020. The activities were carried out through workshops through the discussion of themes related to the daily life experienced by community health agents in the community. The workshops were presented using manual and audiovisual resources and activities that mobilized participation, stimulating the interaction of these professionals and strengthening the bond between community health agents and the family health team.Results and Discussion:After carrying out these activities, the main challenges faced by this category and its relationship with the family health team of the basic health unit were noted. In addition, the activity provided a space for reflection on the impacts of this interaction between the team and community health agents in the community. Conclusions:Therefore, it is concluded that these meetings were opportune to emphasize their role in this logic of the work process, highlighting the search for qualification of these professionals, ensuring comprehensive care to users (AU).

El agente de salud comunitaria es una categoría profesional fundamental para la implementación de la Estrategia de Salud de la Familia. Por ello, es necesario buscar la cualificación de esta plantilla.Objetivo:Informar las actividades educativas desarrolladas durante la pandemia Covid-19 con Agentes Comunitarios de Salud en una Unidad Básica de Salud de un municipio del estado de Minas Gerais. Metodología:Se trata de un relato de experiencia surgido de una formación multiprofesional desarrollada por Residentes Multiprofesionales en Salud de la Familia realizada de abril a agosto de 2020. Las actividades se realizaron a través de talleres a través de la discusión de temas relacionados con la vida cotidiana que viven los agentes comunitarios de salud en el comunidad. Los talleres se presentaron utilizando recursos y actividades manuales y audiovisuales que movilizaron la participación, estimulando la interacción de estos profesionales y fortaleciendo el vínculo entre los agentes comunitarios de salud y el equipo de salud de la familia. Resultados y Discusión:Luego de la realización de estas actividades, se señalaronlos principales desafíos que enfrenta esta categoría y su relación con el equipo de salud de la familia de la unidad básica de salud. Además, la actividad brindó un espacio de reflexión sobre los impactos de esta interacción entre el equipo y los agentes comunitarios de salud en la comunidad.Conclusiones:Por lo tanto, se concluye que estos encuentros fueron oportunos para enfatizar su rol en esta lógica del proceso de trabajo, destacando la búsqueda de la calificación de estos profesionales, asegurando una atención integral a los usuarios (AU).

El presente informe recupera la experiencia de trabajo y los aprendizajes alcanzados durante el proceso de rotación electiva en el tercer año de la Residencia Interdisciplinaria de Educación y Promoción de la Salud (RIEPS). En el mismo se presentan las características del lugar de rotación y los fundamentos de la elección; los objetivos de rotación y las actividades realizadas para alcanzarlos; las principales experiencias, aprendizajes y algunas conclusiones. Además, se adjunta como anexo la evaluación realizada por el referente de rotación, David Lanau. Esta segunda parte de la rotación electiva tuvo lugar en el proyecto Musicoterapia Relacional, con sede en Barcelona, España, y se desarrolló por un período de dos meses, desde el 2 de mayo al 30 de junio de 2022. Presentó la posibilidad de profundizar en el conocimiento de nuevas perspectivas teóricas sobre los vínculos interpersonales, en la aproximación a técnicas y el perfeccionamiento de habilidades para el trabajo en salud desde el arte, en una experiencia que había comenzado con la primera parte de la rotación electiva, llevada adelante en la Asociación de Musicoterapeutas del Uruguay durante el mes de febrero del corriente. BACKGROUND AND AIM OF THE WORK: The clinical internship is fundamental for the training of the future socio-health professional. Through the practical activity, the student develops professional skills, critical thinking and decision-making ability, internalizing the complexity of the professional role. While in the nursing field there are several tools for assessing the clinical experience of students, in the obstetric field there is a lack of validated tools. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to investigate the perception of the students of the Degree Course in Midwifery regarding the internship experience. METHOD: The study was conducted at the obstetric clinical internship where students carry out practical activities and involved all the students of the Degree Course in Midwifery at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The data were collected through an anonymous online questionnaire (Google Model), which was inspired by the nursing CLES + T, simplified and adapted to the obstetric field. RESULTS: In total, 54 students took part in the research (81.8% of all students enrolled in the degree program examined). They were mainly of Italian nationality (98.1%), women (94.4%), aged between 18-22 years (85.2%). In general, the third-year students were more satisfied with the internship experience than the second- and first-year students, most likely for having achieved a degree of autonomy of care, awareness and greater professional motivation.  Conclusions. The results indicate the need to periodically investigate the quality and satisfaction of the clinical internships to ensure increasingly effective obstetric training.

The Youth Enjoy Science (YES) Program at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute (NCI) R25-funded training grant, designed to increase the pipeline of underrepresented minority (URM) students entering college and pursuing biomedical research and health care careers in the Cleveland Metropolitan and surrounding school districts. The three components of the program include: Learn to Beat Cancer, engaging middle school students and their families; Research to Beat Cancer, designed for high school students and college undergraduates; and Teach to Beat Cancer, focused on enhancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teaching capacity among high school teachers. This study focuses on Research to Beat Cancer, which, in 2018 enrolled 36 URM students as paid summer scholars. Students were assigned to a faculty mentor, were taught laboratory safety, responsible conduct of research and the scientific method, and then immersed in full-time laboratory cancer research during an eight-week period. Twice each week, students participated in Lunch and Learn Seminars where faculty members provided combined motivational and scientific guidance lectures. In a capstone poster session at the end of the program, students presented their research to peers, medical and graduate students, family members, faculty, community members and leaders. Students' perceptions of the program were reported using descriptive statistics and qualitative thematic analyses. Twenty-four of the 2018 YES students (67%) and 19 (53%) mentors completed the online post-program survey. Opportunity was a major qualitative theme from student and mentor responses. Future research will investigate the long-term impacts of YES, including college enrollment.

RESUMEN

The purpose of this pilot study was to evaluate the impact of mindfulness education of new graduate nurse residents' awareness and use of mindfulness strategies. This pre-post education design study was approved by the university institutional review board. Mindfulness has been shown to improve focus on patient care and reduce job stress and nurse turnover. Improved awareness and use of mindfulness strategies have the potential to improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of nurse turnover.

Objective. To develop a hospital-based pharmacy internship program in a comprehensive cancer care center in Jordan and review its outcomes over a 10-year period.Methods. King Hussein Cancer Center developed a two-year internship program for pharmacy students in Jordanian universities. The program included training in operational and clinical settings during the academic year and school holidays. In addition, the students completed rotation-related assignments and met weekly with the program director. During the rotations and at the end of the program, interns were asked to assess their level of satisfaction with the program and to comment on its content and structure. Results. From a pilot phase with only three interns and a simple training structure, the two-year internship program has become more structured now training six interns annually. During the first 10 years of the program, 51 students from four universities in Jordan enrolled in the program, with six current interns, 34 graduates, and 11 withdrawals. Graduates reported improved academic performance and satisfaction with the program's structure and the skills obtained. Their main challenge was time management during the academic year. Conclusion. A hospital-based pharmacy internship program is feasible and sustainable. Participation in the program improves interns' academic performance and clinical and professional skills, despite the challenges of highly demanding conditions on both the hospital and the students.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the clinical reasoning development of physical therapists participating in an 18-month orthopaedic residency program in Nairobi, Kenya. Methods: A mixed methods research design was utilized. The participants' clinical reasoning was assessed through a live patient examination prior to entering the residency program and upon graduation. One-on-one interviews were performed with the residents to explore their clinical reasoning during the final examination. Results: Residents (n = 14) demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in their ability to perform an examination of a patient and determine a hypothetical diagnosis. The clinical reasoning process described by the participants included the hypothetical deductive and narrative reasoning models. The residents did not appear to incorporate pattern recognition during the patient assessment. Discussion: Similar to studies on novice and expert practice in physical therapy, residents demonstrated an improvement in cue acquisition, the ability to verify and refute a hypothetical diagnosis, and the ability to match interventions to patients impairments. In addition, the residents utilized a combination of clinical reasoning models during the examination and evaluation of the patient including hypothetical deductive reasoning and narrative reasoning. Objetivo: relatar a experiência do preceptor da residência de Enfermagem do Programa de Residência Integrada em Saúde. Método: trata-se de um estudo descritivo, tipo relato de experiência, sobre a preceptoria realizada por uma enfermeira estomaterapeuta de um serviço público de atendimento a pessoas com estomias para alunos da residência em Enfermagem do Programa de Residência Integrada Multiprofissional em Saúde. Resultados: subsidia-se, pelo programa de residência, a formação de profissionais, integrando ensino, serviço e aprendizado, desenvolvendo competências e habilidades na formação dos profissionais e a troca de experiências. Conclusão: acredita-se que a preceptoria de Enfermagem para residentes é um desafio e uma excelente experiência para o profissional enfermeiro, interligando a teoria e a prática, oferecendo, ao residente, o conhecimento teórico e a vivência de um atendimento especializado, trazendo, ao preceptor, uma reflexão de seus saberes e competências profissionais, devendo realizar a função de educador com clareza e domínio e tendo segurança no desempenho de suas atividades.(AU)


Objective: to report the experience of the preceptor of the nursing residency of the Integrated Health Residency Program. Method: this is a descriptive, experience report type study about the preceptorship performed by a stomatherapist nurse of a public service of people with ostomies for nursing residency students of the Multiprofessional Integrated Health Residency Program. Results: the residency program subsidizes the training of professionals, integrating teaching, service and learning, developing competences and skills in the training of professionals and exchange of experiences. Conclusion: it is believed that the nursing preceptorship for residents is a challenge and an excellent experience for the professional nurse, linking theory and practice, offering the resident the theoretical knowledge and experience of specialized care, bringing to the preceptor, a reflection of their professional knowledge and competences, having to perform the function of educator with clarity and mastery and having confidence in the performance of their activities.(AU)

BACKGROUND/AIM: Professional practise placements in occupational therapy education are critical to ensuring graduate competence. Australian occupational therapy accreditation standards allow up to 200 of a mandated 1000 placement hours to include simulation-based learning. There is, however, minimal evidence about the effectiveness of simulation-based placements compared to traditional placements in occupational therapy. We evaluated whether occupational therapy students completing a 40 hour (one week block) Simulated Clinical Placement (SCP) attained non-inferior learning outcomes to students attending a 40 hour Traditional Clinical Placement (TCP). METHODS: A pragmatic, non-inferiority, assessor-blinded, multicentre, randomised controlled trial involving students from six Australian universities was conducted. Statistical power analysis estimated a required sample of 425. Concealed random allocation was undertaken with a 1:1 ratio within each university. Students were assigned to SCP or TCP in one of three settings: vocational rehabilitation, mental health or physical rehabilitation. SCP materials were developed, manualised and staff training provided. TCPs were in equivalent practice areas. Outcomes were assessed using a standardised examination, unit grades, the Student Practice Evaluation Form-Revised and student confidence survey. A generalised estimating equation approach was used to assess non-inferiority of the SCP to the TCP. RESULTS: Of 570 randomised students (84% female), 275 attended the SCP and 265 the TCP (n = 540, 94.7% retention). There were no significant differences between the TCP and SCP on (i) examination results (marginal mean difference 1.85, 95% CI: 0.46-3.24; P = 0.087); (ii) unit score (mean (SD) SCP: 71.9 (8.8), TCP: 70.34 (9.1); P = 0.066); or (iii) placement fail rate, assessed using the Student Practice Evaluation Form-Revised (100% passed both groups). CONCLUSION: Students can achieve equivalent learning outcomes in a 40 hour simulated placement to those achieved in a 40 hour traditional placement. These findings provide assurance to students, educators and professional accreditation bodies that simulation can be embedded in occupational therapy education with good effect.

Objective Develop a predictive model to identify patients in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) who require a clinical pharmacist intervention. Design Retrospective, cross-sectional. Setting Nine freestanding SNFs within an integrated health care delivery system. Patients Patients who received a clinical pharmacist medication review between January 1, 2016, and April 30, 2017. Identified patients (n = 2,594) were randomly assigned to derivation and validation cohorts. Interventions Multivariable logistic regression modeling was performed to identify factors predictive of patients who required an intervention (i.e., medication dose adjustment, initiation, or discontinuation). Patient-specific factors (e.g., demographics, medication dispensings, diagnoses) were collected from administrative databases. A parsimonious model based on clinical judgment and statistical assessment was developed in the derivation cohort and assessed for fit in the validation cohort. Main Outcome Measures Model to predict patients requiring clinical pharmacist intervention. Secondary outcome was a comparison of factors between patients who did and did not receive a clinical pharmacist intervention. Results Ninety-five factors were assessed. The derivation (n = 1,299) model comprised 22 factors (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.79, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.74-0.84). A clopidogrel dispensing (odds ratio [OR] = 2.42, 95% CI 1.19-4.91), fall (OR = 2.47, 95% CI 1.59-3.83), or diagnosis for vertebral fracture (OR = 2.33, 95% CI 1.34-4.05) in the 180 days prior to clinical pharmacist medication review were predictive of requiring an intervention. The model fit the validation cohort (n = 1,295) well, AUC = 0.79 (95% CI 0.74-0.84). Conclusion Administrative data predicted patients in a SNF who required clinical pharmacist intervention. Application of this model in real-time could result in clinical pharmacist time-savings and improved pharmacy services through more directed patient care.

BACKGROUND: Globally the safety of mothers and babies is fundamental in maternity care. Central to ensuring this safety is appropriate preparation of midwifery students' to ensure graduates are equipped to assume the responsibilities of delivering safe and effective maternity care. In preparation for autonomous practice Irish midwifery students' undertake a 36 week internship in the final year of the BSc Midwifery programme. Within this paid internship midwifery students' have the opportunity to develop professional behaviours, consolidate knowledge and learn necessary skills to fulfil the role of midwife under the supervision of registered midwives. OBJECTIVE: To explore midwifery students' experiences of the internship period. DESIGN AND METHOD: A descriptive qualitative study using focus groups with ethical approval. SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS: BSc Midwifery students' in the final year of their programme (n = 17) in an Irish University were invited to participate in a focus group interview midway through their internship. All participants (n = 13) had experience of working in two sites used for internship at the time of data collection. RESULTS: Key findings include the importance of the internship period in consolidating clinical skills and building confidence and competence for midwifery practice. Midwifery students' experience considerable stress during the internship period. Demands identified as stressors include providing care in increasingly complex clinical areas, meeting academic deadlines and maintaining a work life balance. Negative interpersonal experiences and dismissive attitudes to reflection on practice were barriers to learning. Midwifery students' articulated the importance of learning through doing, a supportive learning culture and philosophy in the unit, protected time for reflection and being included and valued as part of the midwifery team. CONCLUSIONS: The benefits and challenges associated with internship in midwifery are apparent, particularly when students' are contending with two geographically distant sites. Support mechanisms and suggestions for improvements are considered.

Objetivo: avaliar resultados obstétricos e neonatais de partos assistidos. Metodo: estudo quantitativo, descritivo, retrospectivo, com parturientes assistidas pelas enfermeiras residentes. Os dados foram coletados a partir das informações referentes aos partos, anotadas no livro de registro, analisados no SPSS, versão 20.0, agrupados em tabelas e submetidos à análise descritiva e numérica inferencial. Resultados: as enfermeiras residentes assistiram 147 partos de parturientes com faixa etária entre 20 e 24 anos e 44,9% eram nulíparas. Destas, 43 tiveram períneo íntegro após o parto; 61 apresentaram laceração de primeiro grau; 38, de segundo grau e cinco, de terceiro grau. O índice de episiotomia foi de 4,8%. Os métodos não farmacológicos de alívio da dor mais utilizados durante o trabalho de parto foram a respiração, o banho de aspersão e a massagem. Todos os recém-nascidos tiveram Apgar no quinto minuto igual ou maior que sete e 93,2% deles foram colocados em contato pele a pele com a mãe. Conclusão: os resultados maternos e neonatais foram favoráveis demonstrando que o programa de residência em Enfermagem Obstétrica se norteia nas evidências científicas e resulta em menos intervenções no processo de parturição.(AU)

Clinical research nurses are essential in the coordination of clinical trials and the management of research participants. Without a stable, knowledgeable research nurse workforce, the conduct of research is affected. A research nurse residency is a novel approach to preparing new graduate nurses for the oncology research nurse role. This article will describe the development and content of the research nurse residency and how this approach is being used to address a need for clinical research nurses to support burgeoning clinical trials at a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.

Objetivo descrever a experiência de residentes em enfermagem obstétrica em intercâmbio profissional. Método relato de experiência vivenciado por meio de convênio entre os Programas de Residência em Enfermagem Obstétrica do Centro Universitário Franciscano, Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, e a Faculdade de Enfermagem da Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro, entre agosto e setembro de 2015. Resultados foi oportunizado às residentes o acompanhamento e a assistência ao pré-natal, trabalho de parto, parto e puerpério imediato, de risco habitual, os quais eram assistidos integral e exclusivamente por enfermeiras obstetras, assim como o acompanhamento e a assistência compartilhada com a equipe médica e residentes de medicina, de parturientes de alto risco e em processo de abortamento. Conclusão foram possibilitadas às residentes em enfermagem obstétrica reflexões importantes sobre a assistência prestada no Rio de Janeiro e em Santa Maria.


Objetivo describir la experiencia de residentes de enfermería obstétrica en un intercambio profesional. Método relato de experiencia experimentado por medio de la convivencia entre los Programas de Residencia de Enfermería Obstétrica del Centro Universitario Franciscano, Santa María/Rio Grande del Sur y la Facultad de Enfermería de la Universidad Estadual de Rio de Janeiro, entre agosto y septiembre de 2015. Resultados fue oportunizado el acompañamiento y la asistencia al cuidado prenatal, trabajo de parto, parto y puerperio inmediato, de riesgo habitual, a las residentes, asistidos integral y exclusivamente por enfermeras obstetras, y también el acompañamiento y una asistencia compartida con el equipo médico y residentes de medicina, de parturientes de alto riesgo y en proceso de aborto. Conclusión les fue posibilitado a las residentes de enfermería obstétrica reflexiones importantes sobre el cuidado prestado en Rio de Janeiro y en Santa María.


Objective to describe the experience of residents in obstetric nursing in professional exchange. Method report of experience lived through a partnership between the Residency Programs in Obstetric Nursing of the Franciscan University Center, Santa Maria/Rio Grande do Sul and the Faculty of Nursing of the Rio de Janeiro State University, between August and September 2015. Results the residents were offered the follow-up and assistance to prenatal care, labor, delivery and immediate puerperium, at usual risk, which were fully and exclusively attended by obstetrical nurses, as well as the accompaniment and assistance shared with the medical team and medical residents, of high-risk parturients and in the process of abortion. Conclusion nursing residents were offered important reflections on the care provided in Rio de Janeiro and Santa Maria.

Ante la disminución en las demandas de adolescentes por un proceso de Orientación Vocacional Ocupacional, surgieron interrogantes como eje de este trabajo: ¿Por qué son cada vez menos los adolescentes que se acercan al Área Programática del hospital en busca de un proceso de Orientación Vocacional Ocupacional? ¿Cuánta influencia tiene el contexto, los pares y la familia a la hora de elegir una vocación / ocupación? ¿Cuál es el rol de la escuela? ¿Guarda todo esto alguna relación con los tiempos actuales? ¿De qué manera? RESUMEN

This article discusses the internships at the psychosocial health system of Natal, Northeast region of Brazil, as part of training in psychology. The objective of these internships is to offer students work experiences in public health both inside and outside health services. Based on Institutional Analysis and Schizoanalysis, these experiences were examined through two analysers: (1) the power of knowledge and (2) the need for by-passes. We conclude that health provokes tensions between instituted practices in health services and those instituted in psychology training.

UNLABELLED: In the United Kingdom, legislation permits nurses and allied health professionals to prescribe for patients within their care. Preparation for this role includes learning, teaching and assessment that is embedded in practice, supervised by a designated medical practitioner (DMP) and evidenced in a reflective learning in practice portfolio. AIM: The objectives were to explore; (1) which assessment in the practice portfolio was ranked most valuable in terms of achieving safe, effective prescribing practice and, (2) whether a practice based assessment (SDEP) was an acceptable alternative to an Observed Simulated Clinical Examination (OSCE). METHODS: Online surveys were conducted and follow up semi structured telephone interviews were conducted across 5 universities in Scotland with students, DMPs and line managers. RESULTS: Students ranked the learning log most valuable and DMPs and line managers ranked the SDEP most valuable. Survey and follow up interviews suggested that the portfolio provided the opportunity to develop prescribing skills and knowledge relevant to their specific clinical speciality. There was agreement amongst all participants that clinical assessment in the practice portfolio effectively enable non-medical prescribing students to evidence prescribing competence. SUMMARY: The novel use of the SDEP and reflective summary offers a viable alternative to an OSCE and was viewed as one of the most valued components of the assessment strategy.

O objetivo do presente artigo consiste em discutir a formação dos residentes em saúde mental coletiva para o trabalho intersetorial pela Residência Integrada em Saúde Mental Coletiva da Escola de Saúde Pública do Ceará (RISMC-ESP/CE) e as ações intersetoriais produzidas por este processo nos municípios cearenses de Aracati, Horizonte, Fortaleza e Iguatu. No estado do Ceará, a RISMC-ESP/CE iniciou a primeira turma em maio de 2013, visando o trabalho intersetorial na Rede de Atenção Psicossocial (RAPS), sendo o primeiro programa interiorizado nessa modalidade de pósgraduação. É um estudo qualitativo descritivo, exploratório e analítico, que contou com análise documental e entrevistas semiestruturadas como técnicas para a construção das informações e considerações elaboradas. A amostragem intencional foi utilizada, sendo selecionados atores sociais envolvidos no processo, ao todo 34 participantes. Examinamos as informações por meio da Análise de Conteúdo Temática, considerando as discussões teóricas e as diretrizes nacionais da atenção psicossocial, das discussões da Educação Permanente em Saúde (EPS) e da intersetorialidade. Identificamos a qualificação da RAPS nos municípios estudados através da operacionalização da intersetorialidade. O incentivo ao trabalho intersetorial no percurso formativo comprometido com os princípios das Reformas Sanitária e Psiquiátrica no Brasil, favoreceram a promoção da saúde mental nos territórios trabalhados, pois mexeu com as políticas e os serviços existentes. Assim, compreendemos a importância do fortalecimento da EPS, e, por consequência das Residências Multiprofissionais em Saúde, não apenas no estado do Ceará, mas também no Brasil, compreendendo-as como estratégias de avanços na Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira e na luta antimanicomial.


The objective of this article is to discuss the training of residents in collective mental health for intersectoral work by the Integrated Residence in Collective Mental Health of the School of Public Health of Ceará (RCMH-SPH/CE) and the intersectoral actions produced by this process in Municipalities of Aracati, Horizonte, Fortaleza and Iguatu. In the State of Ceará, the RCMH-SPH/CE started the first group in May 2013, aiming at intersectoral work in the Psychosocial Attention Network (PAN), the first internalized program in this postgraduate modality. It is a descriptive, exploratory and analytical qualitative study, with documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews as techniques for the construction of the information and elaborated considerations. Intentional sampling was used, and social actors involved in the process were selected, with a total of 34 participants. We analyzed the information through the Thematic Content Analysis, considering the theoretical discussions and the national guidelines of psychosocial care, the discussions of the Permanent Education in Health (PEH) and the intersectoriality. We have identified the PAN qualification in the municipalities studied through the operationalization of intersectoriality. The incentive to intersectoral relation in the training course committed to the principles of Sanitary and Psychiatric Reforms in Brazil, favored the promotion of mental health in the territories worked, as it moved with existing policies and services. Thus, we understand the importance of strengthening PEH, and consequently of Multiprofessional Residences in Health, not only in the State of Ceará, but also in Brazil, understanding these as strategies for advancement in the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform and in the anti-asylum fight.
